CEOIA aims to unite Central and Eastern Ontario’s isotope community and foster future opportunities to leverage the region’s strengths and assets.
The Alliance will develop a strategic plan to support expansion isotope production, processing, and use in the region. CEOIA will also work to increase awareness of Central and Eastern Ontario’s role in Canada’s larger isotope ecosystem. The Alliance will also facilitate future public and private investment in the region’s isotope ecosystem and explore ways to enhance the region’s role in the global isotope supply.
Isotopes are generated by adding a sub-atomic particle to a stable isotope so that it becomes unstable, which allows the isotope to be useful for several different applications.
